Abandoned Theaters - they are now ancient ruins standing at the mercy of time.  My favourite is this one, where graffiti and opulence collide, a full on attack on a largely privileged space.  That combination gives me an eerie feeling, it’s scary yet fascinating.
Outmoded as they are they still breathe the warmth of whispers, conversations, dramatic silences and roar of spectacle.  By attending one of these old theatres in St. Petersburg last year, I instantly fell in love with their creaky floors and unique scents.  As the photos capture the vanishing of the vivid colours of those spaces, deep inside I feel like we’re losing something very special.
